Class & Tuition Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions for Tuition (“Terms”) govern the agreement between students and Orange County Acting Academy (“OCAA”) regarding enrollment and termination of classes. By enrolling in OCAA classes, students agree to abide by these Terms.

1. Termination:
Students may terminate their enrollment by providing a 30-day notice to OCAA. The notice period begins at the end of the current billing cycle. Termination shall be effective on the specified date, and students are permitted to attend classes until that date.

2. Cancellation & Processing Fee:
In case of early termination, students agree to pay a cancellation fee of $50, as well as the original processing fee at the rate of 3.5% + $0.30. These fees will be deducted from any refunded amount.

3. Removal of Discounts:
Upon termination, any discounts or benefits received due to payment in full will be removed and adjusted accordingly.

4. Entire Agreement:
These Terms constitute the entire understanding between the parties regarding class termination and supersede all prior agreements, whether written or oral.

5. Class Schedule: OCAA reserves the right to modify class schedules, instructors, or curriculum as deemed necessary. Students will be notified of any changes in advance, whenever possible.

6. Attendance and Punctuality: Students are expected to attend all classes and workshops punctually. Excessive absences may result in dismissal from the program without refund.

7. Conduct and Behavior: Students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner at all times. Disruptive behavior, harassment, or any form of misconduct will not be tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal without refund.

8. Payment and Fees: All tuition fees are due in full at the time of enrollment unless otherwise agreed upon with OCAA. Failure to pay tuition fees may result in the student’s removal from classes or workshops.

9. Refunds and Credits: Refunds or credits will only be issued in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined in these Terms and Conditions. No refunds or credits will be provided for missed classes or workshops.

10. Intellectual Property: All materials provided during classes, workshops, or through OCAA’s curriculum are the intellectual property of OCAA and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for any purpose without prior written consent.

11. Liability Waiver: By enrolling in OCAA classes or workshops, students acknowledge and accept any risks associated with participation in physical activities, and agree to release OCAA and its instructors from any liability for injuries or damages sustained during classes or workshops.

12. Termination by OCAA: OCAA reserves the right to terminate a student’s enrollment at any time for violations of these Terms and Conditions or for any other reason deemed necessary by OCAA. In such cases, refunds will be issued in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined herein.

13. Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

14. Equipment and Materials: Students are responsible for providing any required equipment or materials specified for participation in classes or workshops. OCAA may provide a list of recommended materials, but it is the student’s responsibility to ensure they have necessary supplies.

15. Confidentiality: Students agree to maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary information or trade secrets disclosed by OCAA or fellow students during classes or workshops. This includes but is not limited to discussions, techniques, and creative works.

16. Photography and Recording: OCAA reserves the right to photograph, videotape, or record classes or workshops for promotional or educational purposes. By enrolling in OCAA classes or workshops, students consent to the use of their likeness or voice in such materials.

17. Communication: OCAA may communicate with students via email, phone, or other electronic means regarding class schedules, updates, or important information. It is the responsibility of students to ensure that their contact information is accurate and up to date.

18. Health and Safety: Students are responsible for their own health and safety during classes or workshops. OCAA recommends consulting with a medical professional before participating in any physical activities, especially if students have any pre-existing medical conditions or injuries.

19. Parental Consent: For students under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent for enrollment in classes or workshops. Parents or legal guardians may be required to sign additional waivers or forms on behalf of the student.

20. Accommodations and Accessibility: OCAA is committed to providing accommodations for students with disabilities or special needs to ensure equal access to classes or workshops. Students requiring accommodations should contact OCAA in advance to discuss their needs.

By enrolling in OCAA classes or workshops, students acknowledge and agree to abide by these additional terms and conditions in addition to the previously outlined Terms. OCAA reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time, and such modifications will be effective upon posting on the OCAA website. It is the responsibility of students to review these terms periodically for any changes.
